    Kick starter locked up on my 250 BigRed 85

    I just got my Big Red running and it stalled and the motor sounded like it was wineing.I jumped it and it started it ran for a while then it stalled and now the kick starter is frozen(it will not go down)The kick starter worked fine before i started it,i tried to start it 2 weeks ago then i put a new carb. on it and then it started.Before that i tried to start it a bunch of times with the kick starter and it work fine.Has anyone else had this problem,if so what is wrong with my my motor,could it be the starter. would that freeze up the kick starter.Any help would be great,thanks........svo58

    just for kicks, check your oil level. We have had pistons seize because of low oil

    My 86 did the same thing and it was the maine gear behind the kickstart it borke apart eneugh to jam it up.

    The battery is low,i jump start it.It runs then stalls with a wineing sound after it stalls.The kick start is not frozen for now.When it runs it sounds like some thing is rubbing(inguageing) in the motor.Any advice on what is wrong with my motor and how to fix it .Any help on where to start would be great,thanks....svo58
