Lately my 83R has been acting strange. It will start up every kick but wont stay running for longer the 1 or 2 seconds. Any one have any ideas what may cause this? Thanks

When it dies does it foul the plug? Air filter/carb clean?

Check sediment cap under fuel shut off valve, it may be full. Also if it is check filter maybe it has deteriorated as it is made out of plastic. It is inside tank, just remove the two screws that hold fuel shutoff valve onto tank, then pull straight down to get out filter.

I will check the fuel filter tomorrow, and yes the plug seems to be pretty oily when ever i take it out.
