    81 250r pic

This is a pic i just took of my R. I decided to post this because there's not too many early R's with a 200x front end or aftermarket tires in back So here's mine... sorry about the quality of the pic I took it with a picture phone...I have more I need to get on my computer It'll give you an idea of how it sits...

looking good. I did the same to my 1981 250r when I did a total restore. I went with a .20 over weisco piston kit, new crank bearings, and I had the head shaved 7 thousands to up compression a little. Runs good for a aircooled.

Hey i think your wheeler looks nice...Alright may I ask how is the bottom end holding up? Thats the only part I haven't touched. The crank bearings seem to be tight but that's only by eye. Does it still shift good and all? I've never ridden mine yet but can't wait...I already have a Yamaha 200 Blaster with a cam and high compression piston and a brand new Honda 400ex and an Oldsmobile lined up to race They all want to, seeing i have THE 250R three wheeler...Kinda funny but I'm interested to see how this 25 year old Honda holds up...Letme know what you think...And I'll let you all know how I do

The bottom end is holding up just fine. The only reason I did new bearings was because the last piston came appart and all the pieces went into the bearings. The trike runs great and shifts through all the gears just fine. This is probably one of the most reliable trikes I have. What kind of Olds you going to race? Hope its not a 442.

My bottom end is holding up fine with a 300 kit but I will admit it does not get that much use.
