    tri-z

i was wondering if the 85 tri-z has a 6 or 5 speed trans. I have a 86 tri- z and it has a 6 speed but its blow up really bad engine is not worth rebuliding. I found a 85 engine and would like to know if its a 6 speed.

85 and 85 1/2 were both 5 speed, 86 was the 6 speed. The only difference in teh 85 and 85 1/2 were the plastics if I am remembering right. Hope that helps.

You need to slow down and start reading the posts better. 85-85.5 differences, not 85-86 ones

I wasnt sure enough to bet my left testicle on it Bill, so I wasnt going to say anything about the correction. I am not the most knowledgable, and will be the first to admit it, but I do try to stay on top of the Z knowledge.
