    Tri-z, 200x, or 1982 250r

Ok there a 3 trike for sale near me

A Tri-z that runs but the owner says needs TLC,

A 1982 250r that runs great and the owner says are all original.

and a 1984 200x that the owner says runs great and need nothing.

Which one should I go for, I really want a newer 250r, the tri-z looks cool but I know nothing about yamahas.

Boy what tough decisions. My advice. Take the time to go inspect all three machines first. Take the one that is in the best shape and needs the least amount of work.

Just somethings to consider off the top of my head. do the pros and cons of each...which one is the best deal moneywise, parts availability, of coarse mechanical condition of the machine, what type of terrian and ridding will you bee doing and just which one feels most comfortable to you. hope this helps...

sadly, i would go for the Tri-Z. IN comparison to the 82R and 200x, it is in a whole nother class of its own. Its a two stroke, not much different than a liquid 250R or a tecate(engine wise). Main thing i see people having a beef with is the fuel pump or the water pump seal. I would go yammi on this one.

You have to go by price, condition, and of course brand loyalty. If you do alot of trail riding the Z is supposed to have the best bottom end. Ofcourse the 200x is a 4stroke and therefore more likely to be reliable and a long lasting ride. The 250R is a little old for my tastes, parts are liable to be very hard to find and expensive when found. Now most of my opinion is formed by reading others posts and I am sure that there are more reasons to love/hate either but I would go with the Z personally, but you will want to look at what you are getting and the price you are paying for it. How much is being asked for the Z, and can you post pics?

There are no stupid questions, but there are alot of stupid people out there that ask questions.
