Cant tell you how much it will cost but definitly worth fixing. If you dont want it I guess I could take it off your hands though. Welcome!

It would also help if you had a year too. The 84-85 have pretty much the same parts as do the 86-87. The tanks for the newer ones are harder to find but keep your eyes out and check out ebay.

If the radiator is mounted in front of the forks its an 84 or 85.
If the radiator is mounted behind the forks and has the shrouds on the tank for scooping air to it then its an 86 or 87.

84's had drum brake in front and 85's had disc brake in front.

This is an 84' but shows how the radiatoris mounted to the front of the forks.

tecates are an awesome machine, especially for free. keep your eyes open on ebay for parts. also you can check places like your dealer for whatever parts they might have, if any. i go thru the website bikebandit.com for alot of my parts, you can also post some looking to buy ads in the classifieds section on here. theres quite a few tecate owners on here, maybe one of us could help you out. if you do your searching and investigating it shouldnt cost all that much to fix. if you wanna get rid of it let me know, lynn mass isnt all that far from me.
