dg sold out? tecate pipe and silencer?

so i am hearing from this guy on ebay that dg is sold out of the 84-85 tecate 3 pipe and silencer. he has a brand new one he is selling but its going for 299.99, and thats just the headpipe, no silencer. i asked him why his price was so high, when i could go thru dg and get one for 179.00 on their website. he says he did the research and dg is sold out of tecate pipes, that no one can get them, that is why. does anyoine know if this is true or is this guy yanking my chain and trying to make me believe this bull just to buy his pipe? if that is the case, does anybody have a nice head pipe and silencer for an 84-85 tecate. not stock, i would like a dg or better if possible. i am willing to pay for it what ever i have to with in reason, and i just dont see 300 for just the head pipe is a good price, but if i have to, i have to.

I think that guy tried the same thing with a tri-z pipe .they are still available and he claimed they were discontinued.

well guys i have some sad news to report. i just got off the phone with dg performance, asking them about the 84-85 t3 pipe being sold out. he says yes they are sold out, but that doesnt mean they are going to stop making them. in order for them to make more they need at least 15 orders for them. they last produced them in may of 2005 and he says he just doesnt have the demand for them to keep them in stock. now i am truely bummed, but light has shined on me hopefully. i might have a line on another pipe thats even better then the dg pipe. but i am keeping silent on that for now and crossing my fingers the guy will sell it to me. so all you fellow 84-85 tecate owners, the pipes are on hold till he gets at least an order for 15 of the bad boys.

well i am starting to get bummed out here. i have sent 3 pm's to the guy that offered up the NOS bassani pipe, but havent heard anything back. what should i do? i think i will wait a few more days to see if he replies back. if i dont hear from him in the next couple days triztunes i will buy the dg you have.

Just because DG is out doesn't mean all the ATV warehouses are. Looks like DK has 2 of them in stock for $213.99 each. Free shipping too.

No he isn't yanking you, he has it and it looks to be in great shape. Out of my price range or I'd of had it months ago. I'll check my emails, think I have pics of it.

yeah if you got a pic of it i would love to see it. i looked at the ones on dk, for some reason i thought they looked like the 86-87 model pipe. but that is just the picture of it, the fitment says its for the 84 85 model so i just might have to hit dk up. gonna wait to hear from the guy with the bassani first, cuz that will make my jimmy white replica more of a replica then the dg. but i have to settle for what i have to settle for right. you guys been awesome with all the help, thanks alot. its much appreciated.
