    clutch problems

i changed the clutch cable on my atc because i thought thats what was wrong. but even with a new cable the clutch doesnt seem to fully close unless you pull all the way on the handle bar lever, and even then it seems as though the clutch is grabbing. i have tried adujting the cable at the lever and on the clutch arm but with no luck. the clutch is not slipping so i dont think i need a new clutch but im not sure were to start . any advice would be great.

it probably has whats called chatter marks--or grooves worn it the basket
where the plates slide in they wear grooves in the basket you can replace or if not too bad you can file each tab down smooth again with a file -- it will work like new
but will eventually need replaced. i have done this to all my bikes and they work great
