i thought so, but i know there is something different about the 85's. i've just never had a 85, but 3 86's.

i think the 85 pegs are narrower. the holes in the frame for the mounting plates are the same though. you just cant mix and match 85 and 86 pegs and mounting plates.

I have both an 85 and 86 250r atc's and just went and took a peek at them and the pegs and brackets look the same.

yeah they will, but you cant use aftermarket pegs on the 85' peg backets.

So, are you saying with the 86 model you can use an aftermart peg, then use the same mounting bracket?
so, are the 85 pegs actually narrower? look at were the spring mounting part is on yours Zipper. see if they look different there?

i do know for a fact that with 86 mounting plates aftermarket pegs(Ims Roll Design) will mount right up

Would those be IMS pegs made for the TRX250R? Their website doesn't list any pegs for an ATC.

Yes as long as you get the 86-87 TRX style instead of the 88-89 style The earlier ones mount with a pin and use the original mounting plate. the later ones come with the mounting plate integrated and the bolt pattern/spacing is different.
