Has anybody here ever taken your trike to honda?

Does honda even work on 3 wheelers anymore? I believe im having a timing issue with mine but i just dont have the time to work on it right now..And i dont know much about that stuff anyway lol..I was just wondering if it would be a waste to even try it..Money really isnt a problem and i just wanna get it done fast so i can go riding this weekend lol Im sure if i called them they would be like "SURE COME ON IN"...So i wanted to ask some of you first..Thanks

I talked to my dealer about adjusting the valves on my 200x. They wanted more than I gave for the bike. They esimated it would take two hours at $60 per hour. That's why I'm holding off on getting the first service done on my Rancher. They said it should be done at 100 miles. Right now my Rancher has 120 miles on it. They said that would take two hours also. I wonder if there is a two hour minimum.

Call a local performance atv shop instead of a dealer. They should have people that know 250R motors real well.

If it takes them 2 hours to adjust 2 valves I wouldn`take a wheel barrow to them . At the very most it can be done in 15min on a 200 trike, you don`t even have to take the tank off.

I agree. First time I adjusted the valves it only took me about 10-15 min. It is real easy. Just find a book or ask some one what they should be adjusted to.

If I have to take a small motor to be worked on I go to a local shop & not a dealer they all ways want to much to work on stuff.

When I called a Honda dealer about the trike, they told me they wouldnt touch "those things" with a 10 foot pole...So no, they dont work on 'em out here.

When my transmission got busted, they gave me some bull like they dont have the catalouge to order the parts. I asked them if they could atleast open it to check out what the problem is and they said they wouldnt as they require the gaskets.

A machine is a machine no matter the year. If a dealer won't touch it then that just shows they aren't that good anyway. If they quote 2 hours for a valve adjustment that should take less then 30min then they're just crooks. Sadly there are a lot of dumb crooks out there.
