Wow, thats a nice lil machine. If you dont mind me asking, how much did that set you back? I think you should take off that front headlight and put two 55watt light up front like the banshee's have, that headlight just looks out of place.

well...... I got 350 in it,
It ran when parked, now I need some help
cleaned the carb, everything looks good, put fresh oil in the case, new fuel lines, fuel filter, put about 1/2 gallon in pre mix, turned everything to on, AND KICKED MY *Edited**Edited**Edited**Edited**Edited* OFF!!!! nothing!
the spark plug looks old and junky, I picked up a plug today but the stupid *Edited**Edited**Edited**Edited**Edited* at the yamaha place gave me the wrong plug, and I cant really test to see if it firing with me standing up and kickin on it
so...... say if I still hav eno fire even after a new plug what then??
I have checked all electrical conections and everythign is in order.
hmmmmmmm.. tomorrow
ok after looking in bike bandit for a while I notcied that the my blaster doesnt have that crazy looking thing above the carb, wth? I pirated a carb the other day off a blaster in the junk yard with that on it, and it has some kinda switch on it is that my problem? do i need to hook up that switch? any ideas?

ok got another problem (kickin a dead horse) apparently over time from sitting, the engine filled with water, well I got it drainded out, everythig looks clean no corrosion or rust any where, I think the oil got into the water and kept everything decent inside, but i'm sure that it hurt it somewhere, I will be putting it back together this after noon after a good dry out upside down (lol) hopefully it will kick off,
oh well sometimes you find a gem and sometimes you just got dirt
SWEET DEAL! Dude, that is awesome. Yea, let everything dry and try that.

well... one more time I kicked the dead horse, and like a SHAMAN it sprang to life!! after three or more years sittin and the crankcase filled with water I brought the beast back to life, now I need to do some adjusting and cleanin and my gf will be ridin! yay, i'm proud of myself, thanks code!
well, it already has the "right" rear tires on it.
Glad you got it running.
A buddy of mine had one for years and through the woods, he could hang with anyone and leave many.
Reliable machines as far as I know. Only gripe most people have is that they're small.
You can prolly get disc brakes for the front fairly cheap if you're so inclined and get a new hood with the integrated headlight. Not sure what year they made the improvements to the blaster with front discs and the new hood, but I'd imagine you could get the parts on eBay.

I was just looking at the pictures again, and I see some kind of tank just under and back a little from that grabbar, what is that little tank there for?

oh that tank was the oil tank for the 2 stroke oil, yea that got taken off real quick, I'm in a firm beliver in pre mix that way if I wreck the motor it was my fault, Yea the tires are kinda worth it they help the littl ebeast hook up..
now that i got it running, I found the "real problem" that caused this thing to be parked, they said that it started sputtering and dying so they took the carb apart and worked on it couldnt stop they problem so they parked it,... the stator is on its way out, It gives anough spark but after you ride it for about 5 mins it dies, let it sit for about a min or two and it starts right back up without missing a beat, soo... needless to say I will be putting a stator/ and a new coil in for it I cant have it cuttin off all the time with my gf on it, also going to ditch that stupid light and put on some warrior or banshee lights, and just paint all the plastics, maybe later just a pipe silencer combo, and a few other things but no major mods
OK HEEEELLLPPP!!! i CANT GET THIS DAMN rotor off the crank shaft!!! its frozen on there like a MF'er!!! the threads are stipped so a puller will NOT work!! and I have already broke one puller trying to get it out, I have heated the rotor up a few tims and sprayed every thing you can spray on it to loosen it to.. AAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!!!! Im not worried about the rotor gettin trashed, I'll just pick up another one but I do not want to hurt the end of the crankshaft cuz then I will be screwed!!! I thought about wleding bolts to the rotor and hooking up the puller again.... ANY SUGESTIONS!!!!!
HEHE! The typical cant get the flywheel off. Well you can do it the fancy way or the redneck way. Fancy way is to buy a flywheel puller. Redneck way, 2 small pry bars, one on either side. Put alittle pressure on them. Then take a punch and put it in the center of the nut. Now take aand give it a good tap. Should fall off, dont force it though, you could damage stuff.
