New to the board
I just put a new crank bearing, rod, piston and rings in my 86 R. It has sat since blowing it up 10 mos. ago. When I fire it up, I hear a nasty rattle or grinding, almost like when you push on the kick starter when it is running. I have had this bike for a LONG time and I don't EVER remember hearing a sound like this. Any ideas???? Thanks in advance.

My 85 has a knock sound at Idle/off idle. Still on original bore.
Alligator sized brain can't spell you correctly.

You probably missed a peice inside the case and is floating around messing with gears.
