Guy had it in a shed and said it wouldn't run more than 2 or 3 minutes. I gave him a set of old tires with 25000 on them and $50. The tank is full of rust and the carb is gummy and nasty, but not a bad find... Now which one does the wife claim?

Clean the tank with muratic acit, then seal it with Red kote (don't waste your time with Kreem), adn give the carb a good cleaning. You'll probably be in business with that and a little air in the front tire.
Damn, that looks like a good find, and can't beat the price- Nice headlight cover, too.

Thats a great looking SX for the price. I'd bet your right with the carb and tank being the issue. Some of the simplest things the normal person will over look.

NOt to hi-jack the thread, but there is another thread floating around (in local riding, I think) about organizing an Ocala Ride. We need to find out where to launch, camp, and what we need for legal stuff, unless we want to do it "under the radar"-- which is fine with me. Dreadhead has ridden out there recently, but I have not in about 7 years. It's pretty centralized, so let's do it!!!! Maybe in november??????

wish i could find a spoft tail in that price range. Mostly we have is hard tails in my area. i rarely find the sportier bikes around here.

I have some friends that ride out that way sometimes - i think its an ATV park or something... but thats like a 50$ annual pass or something. anyway - i will go if i can, and if you guys need help figuring it all out just specify anything I can do to help..
