Need Help: Part for rare Tiger 250

Hi there, the kick starter on my Tiger 250 broke (it cracked off at the keyed connector).
I've tried to weld this piece twice, but it continues to break.
I know that these machines are rare and understand some members on this board are Tiger collectors.
Any help in finding this part would be appreciated.
Also, does anyone know if a kick starter off another readily available engine may work with it?

First of all, welcome to the board! Trikeaholic or 3tigers should be able to tell you for sure what parts will interchange, but from what I've read from them I believe the engine componets off of the watercooled Can Am 250 dirtbikes are nearly identicle. I'm not sure of the years, so you'll have to check with them to be sure. One of them will surely see this topic and be able to help you out though.

    ROTAXPARTSCENTER@aol.com (tony murphy rotax parts)

Tony Murphy can help you. He also has assy manuals for Rotax engines, I just got mine today. Any Can-Am motor would make a good donor, as long as its a 175-250 cc

also, try an ATK motorcycle dealership, or one that used to sell Can-Am My ATK dealer used to sell Can Am, and has a room full of Can Am body work and Rotax parts IN STOCK! The air coolde can am lower ends were the same as the LC, only the LC has a waterpump I suggest you get the Tiger owners manual from 3tigers, he sent one to me, and It has been a big help.

halen_5150, got any pics of your Tiger? I love seeing pics of Tigers and other rare trikes. Wish I could find one to buy. Maybe I'll run an ad in the paper after I get rid of my other stuff and get some cash.
