    What is a 125M?

Well I just bought a 84 125M, trike seems basically like a 200S with a smaller motor? It just seem about as big as the 200S I had, with the front suspension and all, but underpowered. Is there a bigger motor that will bolt in in the future? The guy I got it from sells the 110's and 185's for more than the 125's is the 125 the readheaded step child of the ATC world? Im not complaining because I really like the trike, its just ive had a few 185's, a couple 200s' alot of 110's but this is the 2nd 125 ive seen and the first ive owned. Eventually I plan on getting a 200X but til then I think I may keep this one. Jim

The 125M is kind of rare (IMO) Small frame with electric start. The frame is the same as the ATC90 and ATC110. I think the 125 was more marketed to women with the electric start. I think they are really cool little trikes.

There are 2 types of the 125m. The first is the more popular one, aka not rare at all, which is basicaly a atc 110 with electric start and a few more cc's. The other type (1986-87) is rare and is more like a mini 200s or 250sx. It has the vertical cylinder head setup like the bigger trikes, electric start and reverse.

Actually they are not that rare at all. There are literally thousands of them around. I think I have about 20. Some run some are in parts. But it is basically a 110 with electric start and a few cc's bigger engine. Almost everything between the 125 and the 110 will interchange.

I think you need to reread the post. It says it's a 84. Not sure where you got the 86-87 from.

They are good little trikes. I have one I use once & a while. I call it ol' faithful'. They thing never lets me down.

He was a little unclear when he said the thing about front suspension- I couldn't tell whether he was referring to the S, or the new M. The real Question, to clear it up, does it hav reverse?

I know he said 84 but if it's like the 200s but smaller seems it must have the upright motor which means 86-87. The 86-87 are rare as far as I know. Sounds like some one put front suspension on it. Reverse is the definitive answer. I read some where that there were only 218 86's made. Can't imagine that to be true though.

Hi folks this does have the horizontal motor but the front forks looks like the ones I had on my 200S, the front is a suspension front end. I just noticed that someone welded the shifter to the stub, I just hope when the pull rope breaks I can get the cover off to replace the rope. I notice the carb seems to have a flat spot. I just dumped some seafoam in the tank and going to get a fresh plug this weekend. Jim

None of the 125's have suspension unless it is a aftermarket frame like the 70's and 110's had. I dont know of a racing frame for the 125's. Imay be a add on front suspension but I am not sure of what might interchange with it. I am thinking it may be a 200m They are about the same size as a 185 or 200 maybe a hair bigger and have electric start as well. Could also possible be a 83 bigred. But I would need some more pictures to be sure. Anyway here is a picture of the 87 125m that I have. See if it looks like this. Other wise it is something else.

I looked at the frame number its JH3TE0106ECXXXXXX and the motor is TE01E-202XXXX so I guess the frame is a honda 84 125M maybe with a 200S fork on it? I'll try to get a picture this weekend. either way it rides nice it just looks bigger than a 110 because of the front forks. jim

I heard that somewhere recently, maybe here or on Egay. I've only ever seen one in person, & maybe about three here, & one on Egay. Anyone know the facts on the 86-87 M's?
