    Need Carb Setting Help

    Great site here, I need some carb help, I have an 84 Yamaha 225 DXL, I have it running but it will not idle. I have replaced the needle and seat, looks like the only settings are the idle screw on the side which does nothing when I change that. There is a needle valve on the bottom, I have a new one to put in but haven't yet. How many turns out do you go, 1 1/2? or is it tight?

    the bottom is the pilot valve-im guessing 1.5 turns from closed?
    the side is the slide adjustment,it will lift the slide and idle it up from there
    is the slide in right??
