There was only one '88 ATC250R produced, and it was a prototype. Here's a rare photo of it inside Honda's spotless R&D lab in Japan.

Congats Pete, That is something to have for sure. Wonder if there were any other 88 models like a 250SX or 125M that were sold in those countries?

No not yet. I've only bounced on it a little in the "R&D lab" . I'm still waiting on the new front brake line.

Petesatc, I feel I must apologize. I was not attempting to hijack your thread, but rather show another "rare" '88 trike in a humorous fashion.

Now, back to Pete's find: Are genuine Honda parts available for your '88 big red, or are they fairly interchangeable with the previous years?

    Hey Red
no worries dude....you always hijack my thread but you always put a smile on my face....LOL...
to answer some of your questions....
This was the one of the last ATC 's to roll off the track...there wasn't any other models producted in 88...
As for 88 parts they did make a few changes from the 87......tank decals ,seat color (light grey) handle bar cover (also light grey) quite a few engine parts are different but will interchange with other BR parts....
Parts are still not really available for the 88 from honda so it's a case of phoning all the dealers here and europe to see what's on there shelfs........

Have I done this before?! I didn't even realize it, but I guess I've become a chronic thread hijacker! Obviously, I need help. It may be time for an intervention.
