    I already know how would get there, hook a ride with Mike (DeePa). But my final exams are during TF, so I can't miss any days. I could proubly convince my parents to miss one regualr day of school, but not a day of finals....

    Seniors get off early, so maybe TF 08...........

    i was gonna say, I'm all about changing my schedule but unfortunatly schools aren't. I think that school ending the last week or two of june is was the real conflcit is. MY girlfriend is a teacher so she basically will never get to come ot trikefest with me....:-(

    It wasn't exactly across the street for me and 3razors either.

    I like the idea of a little later into the summer just because there's a good chance of less rain. There's trade offs though (hotter, more bugs).

    Without a doubt it should be the 3rd or 4th weekend if we really want more people involved. Having it the 2nd stops a lot of people from coming for school reasons. Also weather shouldn't be a factor concidering we can't predict when it's going to rain and this year was almost too chilly.

    Trikefest 2007 Date

    The past Trikefests have always been at the beginning of June, usually the 2nd weekend, because this was the time that those who do all the work to make this event happen had available. We are sensitive to teh fact that it does cuase issues with shool in a lot of cases. The past two yeasr i dreov to Trikefest right after TimJrs last day of school or the day after. This has never been about not "letting the people win". We do our best to please the most, but I dont imagine anyone else would be able to put 100% effort into planning and organizing something that they who are organizing it would not be able to attend. Im sure you can understand that. No matter what date we choose, there will be someone who is not pleased with it.
    Having said this, the staff members who had schedule conflicts have had changes that will allow for a 2nd date choice.
    June 2007 has 5 weekends. The first choise is the traditional 2nd weekend, June 7-10. The other possibility is June 21-24 which is the 4th weekend. These are the only two possibilities at this time.

    By the way, Howdy dug up this weather info which pretty much just shows that weather is a coin toss, and your likelihood of 5 straight days in the midwest without rain during the summer is not very high no matter what month.
