1985 250R Help
trike starts then stops any ideas guys it sometimes runs for 5-10 min or sometimes for 20-30 min when it dies I have a hard time getting a spark Maybe the stator? anyway anyone with some info would be great! Thanks Again!!!!!!!!

i had this problem before. mine was the on/off switch was going bad. if you can get to it unplug the on/off. leave the plug going to the stator/coil connected. crank the bike. if it continutes to run with no problem then you've found your problem. if it shuts off then you will need to test the coil and stator input/output voltage. cdi will be the last thing because i don't think you can test that unless you had another one.

how do you check a stator or a cdi unit on a 1985 atc 250r?

the stator and coil with a ohm metter. don't really know about the cdi
