    Question 250r Carbs

    will a 1985-86 carb work on a 83 250r??

    I have a brand new 85 ATC250R carb (take off) if you need a carb for this mod or of someone needs one for a resto, best offer + shipping.

    I put a 85 carb on my 83 ATC250R I had to mod the throttle to get full throttle but I forget exactly what I did to make it work I remember being inside the thumb throttle assembly maybe I just indexed the lever?

    i put an '86 carb on my '83 and it screamed like it was straight from hell.....Damn that was fun!! but it also blew up after 3 hours of riding!!! lol

    Did you rejet your carb after installing on the 83?

    LOL nope just threw it in and drove...it was last year, seems to me that a ring caught a port, got it running after a bore and new piston, then the connecting rod bearings went, and thats how it sits, workin on getting another bottom end for it, and yes, i'm gonna b rejetting it cause i'll b thowin on a 300cc topend and a Keihin 38mm PWK A/S...it should b good to go about middle of winter!

    thanks for all the help i may have found another 83-84 carb already but if he wont sell it i can easily get an 85 carb thanks a million
