I have came across a rear caliper off of an '86Fourtrax 250R. Just wondered about mods to install it on my '85 350X. I know I have heard of this being done but couldn't find any info on it.. any ideas??

mr atc did a thread about this on www.3wheeler.org
I don't know why honda didn't do this in the first place!!!! They had the caliper already, why not add the extra stopping power???

they didn't do alot in general, why not put a powervalve on the motors from the start? why do they still make bikes that have drum brakes? why such a small carb on 250r's? why didn't they put 250r brakes on 250x's, 300ex's, 400ex's? there is more I can name too.
Yeah the drum brakes I never understood, even on cars!!! Wouldn't it be cheaper to make discs??? less metal so less money for them to spend right??? WAY easier to work on, and much better performance......
Anyway bigred1981 I say go for it!!! I would/will when i get a 350X!!!!
