We've got all 3 models, and I find the 1st gen. the most fun
The suspension, brakes, power, handling are no where near as good as the others but if you aren't concentrating it feels like it could throw you off at any momentMaybe I'm strange, but I find it fun lol

Same here. I realize the 3rd generations had more more power, better suspension and more top speed and I really liked riding a liquid R at Trikefest this year, but there is still something about the 83-84's. Either the look of old school racer combined with the new technology (pro link suspension, disk brakes all around, etc), or maybe even just seeing a huge jug with a bunch of fins sticking out of it, lol. They also seem to hit really hard on the low to mid range which is perfect for me. I guess what Im trying to say is I like all 3, and I would take any of them if given to me
