You hit it on the nose. There is no mass conspiracy. There arent enough trikes still operating to even register on the lawmaker's radar screens in most cases these days. We are riding antiques that are phasing themselves out of existance. No new laws are necessary to do that. Dealers dont like to work on antiques for a number of valid reasons. Take your classic antique car into a modern car dealership and youll find they wont work it either. Yes, there are excpetions. Exceptions are not the norm.

I can do it all anyway and if I need something done...(like pressing in a bearing...then maybe).

Texas atv shops are ripping you off at those prices.

Sargon, waiting to see the pic. Is this at an ATV park? or private land?

If it is a public place, I would like to have their #, to call and tell them "I'm gonna be visiting the area and have 3 wheelers, can I ride there?" and see what they say. Maybe they might changes their mind if they got 100 phone calls from 'possible tourists' (revenue) that changed their vacation plans because of their ban.

I wouldn't call them to be difficult or rude, just wanna hear their explanation.

I dont like taken my machines in. My preference, is to take the individual piece I need worked on.

You could do that in Texas. If it needs work, pull the part, and take it in.

They cant say your part is from a threewheeler, because there is no way to prove. A lot of these trike parts are interchangible to quads.

Timsr is right, several dealerships told me that they prefer not to work on a three wheeler for a customer for the simple reason that if the bikes value was say $200 for a 110 and the customer wanted them to put new axle bearings and brakes on it , and they do and notify the customer that its done and the bill is $150 and the customer never goes to pay and pick it up then the dealer is stuck with a trike that is not worth $350 so the lose money.

any atv dealership i have been to tells you the price of what your repair will cost before you even bring it in, or at least an estimate

hey man its not just in eastern ny. over near me its just as bad. its so bad where i ride we ride at night. when we see lights we do what we call a "ghost" ride. thats when we kill the light on our trikes and let off the gas. we get lucky enough not to be seen. one time we got cought in a creek. but it didnt stick because the (goverment owns all creeks and any normal point to witch the water rises too). thats what a judge said so we got off with nothing not even a warning. now we ride the creek all the time because its the only place we can ride.
down to parts because i no longer have a place to ride trikes.

Its no big deal in GA. Some dealers will require you to pay for repairs up front. This guarentees that your not going to walk when they call and say Oh.... $350 for the repairs. They you say ahhhhhh...... K. .... And never show up. LOL. Mean time they have it torn down and time invested. I will say that trike prices seemed to have tanked. Im glad I unloaded my cherry ones a few months back.

If I ever make my millions I'll open a trike only riding area.
Anyone caught with anything else will have to watch it burn. Ya Ya I know its illegal but come on. A few idiots running the show and deciding whats right for us. BS!
the fact is, a bunch of lawsuits in the US ruined it for the rest of the world.
I have alot of american friends so please dont take this the wrong way but the american influence really has to end and soon.
