Well so far here in Minnesota we can still get parts at Brothers Motor sports ect.. for any 3 wheeler but you cant ride your wheeler to the trails by Fort Ripley, the short way since the Cushing Township road Nazis outlawed ATV's on the road(In the middle of BFE)Gimmie a break!!
Were going to go out of our way to take my 4x4 F250 SD and My GF son's Z71 down that road every time we go to town and give it hell and then go to the next town meeting and ask why the roads arnt any beter since they outlawed ATV's!!!!!!

    TravEx,

This is public land... Game Management. It is open for ATV use seasonally from September 15 thru January 1 on designated roads only. Three Wheelers excluded though like I said... no three wheelers any time. There are many reasons this is happening in this area in particular. They are even starting to restrict Mountain Biking... yes, mountian biking. Here's is a link to a mountain biking forum discussing this same subject on the same land. A mountain biker wrote the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources (SCDNR) regarding the banning of mountain bikes on one particular area on this land and posted her letters and the responses she received.

Read the DNR responses and you'll see just how utterly ridiculous it really is and you'll see just what kind of people "we" (as riders of anything that isn't easily taxed) are up against. It is impossible to have a disciplined, intelligent conversation with these morons. They know they will loose any disciplined, logical debate over the issue, so they resort to the BS that you'll see at this link.

You know, I can understand how SOME places have banned atv riding, but mountain bikes?

    Disclosure:

I dont agree with the banning of ATV terrain, or the frequency, I just understand how some locations would not want them anymore. It still frustraits me.

I agree ATC Eric, there are some places that should be restricted and preserved without a doubt. I am an avid hiker, mountain biker and "triker". Lots of the places I hike are restricted to vehicles, as they should be and I'm glad for it.

As it stands right now in SC, there are a very small few "riding parks" at all. The ones we do have suck to be quite honest and the public areas are nothing but gravel roads that your average mini-van would not have a problem on. As far as I know, the only way you can legally ride a trike in SC is on private land. The designated places prohibit them.

To ride my trike legally, I load up and go to NC since they still have some decent, trike-friendly places.

As for repair work, ect., I too do all of my own work. I'm not paying someone to work on my stuff when I can do it.
