    tecate guys...need some input here!!

getting ready to order my new front rim for the 85 t3, my question is what size offset do i get? i am getting an itp pro9 series , 4/156, 10x8 rim. what offset do i get?i believe it comes in 3x5 offset. was reading my jimmy white manual and looking thru my repair manual, the jimmy white manual says it used a 9" wide rim with an offset of 3x6 or a 7" wide rim with the offset of 2x5. if i go 8" wide should i get an offset of 2.5 x5.5 or will the 3x5 be ok? or will i need a wheelspacer for the front hub if i go with that rim? please help me out here guys, i'm racking my brain, lol. might be simple to some, but this offset stuff confuses me for some reason.

are you running an 84 front hub or 85? i have the 85. i know all three rims on an 84 are the same as well as the 85s, but they are of different sizes. the 84's are 4/4" and the 85s are 4/156's, and running the disc brake up front i was just wondering if it was different on offset on the hub. i looked it up in the denniskirk catalogue, on the rim size chart, and it doesnt list an offset for the front on 85 to 87 models, it says to get one as close to the oem offset as possible. but i do not know what that oem offset size is. and like i wassaying earlier, the jimmy white manual says either a 9 inch wide rim with a 3x6 ofsset or a 7 inch wide rim with a 2x5 offset. so if thats the case...if i go with an 8 inch wide rim, then i should get one with an offset of 2.5x5.5 on the offset? its in the middle of the 7"and 9" offset. i think i might go with an itp c-series polished in the 8inch width with the 2.5x5.5 offset, see if it works, if i dont then fuggetaboutit, i will send it back and order someting else. unless anyone else on here has an 85 and knows of anything better.
