OK... so in the service manual I downloaded off the net for my '200, the manual did not state what differential oil to run..
The manual suggests 20w40 as the motor oil... will this be fine for the rear end aswell?
Cheers,,

Use a good 80W or 80W90 oil, it doesn't take much at all. If I had my manual here I would let you know just how much.

you are supposed to put .23 litres in it or somehting. But everyone I know fills it up right to the top of the filler plug.
I have a 200ERN and i used castrol gear oil (80 - 90) and filled it to the plug.. haven't have a problem yet...Good luck
I do the same... Local shop here says change every six months or anytime you get it in water over the rearend.Originally Posted by troy
