HELP!! kick start locked up

so yeah, my kick start has locked up, would it be that i sheared the gear in there?BTW its an 84 200x

Step one is to take it off, and take that little cover off and look at it. You can entertain 3 pages of message forum guessing, but it will be off little value to you.

does the motor turn if you push it while in gear?

did u leave gas sitting in the cilinder? if so i had that problem, turn off your gas, take off the spark plug, and kick it a few times, that will help, then leave the plug off for a while, and it should work.

so i ripped the engine apart, only to find out that the rod is stuck to the crank!!!! im sooo mad... im not sure if its just the bearings or if it got ran low on oil and melted to it,..... man this sucks.... if it is melted, im just gonna buy a new engine,

does anyone know much about the lifan engine? will my throttle cable from the original carb hook up to the 30 mm that comes with it? will the original wiring harness work with it? how much will i need to buy BESIDES the engine?
