Angry it only got worse... rod stuck to crank!

my kick start locked up so i ripped the engine apart on my 200x thinking that maybe a start gear got sheared, , only to find out that the rod is stuck to the crank!!!! im sooo mad... im not sure if its just the bearings or if it got ran low on oil and melted to it,..... man this sucks.... if it is melted, im just gonna buy a new engine,

does anyone know much about the lifan engine? will my throttle cable from the original carb hook up to the 30 mm that comes with it? will the original wiring harness work with it? how much will i need to buy BESIDES the engine?

keep your eyes peeled on ebay... thos lifan motors pop up from time to time. I'm guessing once you add in shipping costs, wire harness etc.. etc. your lookin at about $500. for that much I would pull the stock motor and have it stripped down to the cases and rebuilt. probly run around the same price... give or take.

I'd like to see a pic of your melted rod.. I never heard of that happining.

No thats the wrong attitude, its not your fault. Things happen 4 a reason. Maybe it has water in the engine from your freind and got locked up.

Mine's up to about $550 so far. Its no cakewalk, but i'm also going for the bells and whistles of having the starter motor work like it was stock.

I also have yet to find an interchange chart for the countershaft sprocket. that's quickly becoming the hardest part.

PM me if you decide to rebuild that one, i've got a bottom end from a 200x i've never ran but turns freely.

starter motor? on a 200x motor? or a lifan motor. the 200x doesnt have a starter motor, just kick starter.

I'm doing a lifan swap. Its got both, but the kick is backwards like a bike.
