good deal? yamaha 225dr for $500

its a 1985 225dr with reverse, full suspension, runs well but idle needs messing w/, the prob is that one of the front forks is bent a lil and the steering column bearings either need tightened or are shot. engine and tranny are great and it is really strong except for the front end. is this a good deal for $500?

Here check out this 225 DR and decide for yourself. I personally wouldn't give that for it, but I trying to sell mine. I have the reserve set at $750.00. Josh

mine was in PERFECT condition when i got it. also, the hours were EXTREMELY low and it was stored in a good garage. on problem was that it was ridden on the coast, so it has some surface rust. the tires were the ones that came from the factory, and they still have 70% of the tread, and NO weathercracks. o yeah, it IS a dr. finally, it was tuned and restored proffesionally before i got it :-D best part, i got it for 700!!!! and the tune up was 300!!!! just look for a good deal, and bargain a bit.

so it seems like half the people here said it was not a good deal, am i right? well my neighbor says he could straiten the fork, its bent above the damper so all it needs is to be put in a press. still looking for input tho. also for some reason it is leaking oil now where the driveshaft leaves the tranny. what would cause this, the rear seal or something?
