    Honing.....

    Okay, Im looking to hone my clyinder before reasembly. I already have a stone grinder similar to this:

    I was told that after I deglaze with the above mentioned, I would need to cross hatch with one of these:

    Is this correct? What grit should I use stone wise, and flex wise?

    This is on my bored Tri-Z

    all i use is the ball hone..or flex hone, whatever you want to call it. That 240 is perfict!

    One more question, the cylinder is about 2 5/8 inches, how big of a flex hone should I get?

    Also, know of any good places online to pick one up besides ebay?

    you should get one bigger than the bore so it put pressure on the cylinder walls.

    I have checked that and according to me you can use any from both of them. I think that 240 might be perfect for your cylinder. Thanks for the other advices. I appreciate.
