I have an earlier 200 cc motor that is 3 speed auto Im thinking about breaking down for a handful of parts for the 200x project but Im thinking I could just use the whole thing till I can get the x motor redone .has anyone here done that and is it more fun going 3 auto or 5 manual? thanks bigT

Its a pull start motor and i posted pics and someone said they thought it was a 185 with a 200s motorhttp://

That should be a 5 speed. If you can work the clutch then go with the 200x motor, you can get more power out of it because it does not have the extra (auto) clutch slowing it down. Swapping in temporarily is not that bad but you will have to modify the rear brake lever. Do a search for the rear brake lever mod as this is a popular thing to do.
