    DG Krome Exhaust

Just got this DG Krome exhaust for my 200S!

Anybody have any idea as to the type of gains aftermarket exhaust will give your trike?

The biggest gain will be annoying neighbors 2 blocks over! I put the DG Krome on my 350X when I had, and noticed little, if any, power gains. On the 350X it's just too loud!

Get a K&N air filter and rejet the carb... You notice more gitty up n go

TavEX.. I know what you mean.. My buddy just put one on his 400ex and it's just obnoxious.. I hate riding behind him..

Like Chris said if you go with a good filter and rejet you should notice a fair increase in power. The 200s came with a fairly restrictive exhaust so a performance pipe is a good way to go. Even if you leave your filter alone make sure you do a plug check and rejet as needed.

If its too loud for you (or your neighbors) you can fit a spark arrestor kit on it even though DG will tell you that you can't. I've got one on my 350X with the DG "Supertrapp Disc" spark arrestor on it. You can make it louder by adding discs or quieter by running less of them.

Yes I will be checking the plug when I get to tuning the engine. I'm putting a 200X carb on it as well, so that will help.

Thanks for the tip John!! I don't ride around the neighborhood so neighbors won't be an issue. I don't want it soo loud though, so I will have to keep my ears open when I get it fired up.
So you're using a Supertrapp Disc on your 350X with the DG? Is it a specific arrestor kit you could point me to?

Yea I know all about this noise issue. I've already been confronted by a guy down the road reffering to the "I'm scaring his animals" subject. I have a supertrapp slip-on that I'm probably going to put back on. The only thing I really don't like is the size of the stock headpipe on the 350X

Thats mostly why I wanted an aftermarket for my 200S. The stock pipe is tiny!!
Got it on now though, sounds like a harley!!! About pulls my arm out of socket trying to start it though. Need to get the decompression lever working on it now for shizzle!

I think this is what I used:

    http://www.denniskirk.com/jsp/produc...d=10903&mmyId=

It was a long time ago and there is no pic on the site to give me a reference. Do some poking around and you can probably find some info. Its basically a set of Supertrapp discs with a single hole in the end cap to fasten them all down. You have to slide the core out of your silencer and put a bolt through the core to give the fastener something to grab. If you're REALLY serious about it I'll get some pics for you.
