    Paint on 2-stroke exhaust pipe?

What sort of paint is safe to use on, say, an ATC 250R pipe? I was thinking brake caliper paint, it comes in colors and is rated to 600 or 700 degrees... will I need header paint instead? Thanks.

Hm, that looks pretty nice Kintore, I kinda wanted to spice things up with a red pipe and a black frame? You think the 700 degree rating is too low?

I used primer and no primer, and found it wore the same amount as fast. As for the heat business, I would think 700 is enough, but im guessing here so I dont know!
Make sure its clean, sandblast if you can. Use light coats vs thick ones, hang it up off the ground and take your time. Shell be purty that way

All right, so you're saying it should work as long as it doesn't rub or get hit by anything like rocks and such?

We pulled the 413 out of a Chrysler Crown Imperial from '59 or '60 I think. That car is straight gangster.
