True,we do have weapons that the world has no idea about.
But whats to stop someone with a nuke of some sort coming into our country, and blowing himself/herself up at like a football game or a mall or something? We can't even stop the mexicans filtering in like a bunch of flees everyday..I think its just a matter of time, but i hope that time never comes!

My brother was stationed at Camp Casey for 13 months. I have not got his reaction to this but I think this guy from North Korea just does not have a clue what he's dealing with.

I am not sure that I think much will come out of N. Korea right now. He might try to fire one on S. Korea, but I have heard we have nuclear subs just off his coast. If he tries something, we are there to respond. If we will or not, who knows.

I am wondering just what kind of economic sanctions we could lay on N korea? Do we even buy anything from there? I think its like Cuba. The do not even let a box of stogies come here. Those are good. I see it this way: The ones WE don't get just end up going to Spain or the Middle East. What a waste!

About the only way N. Korea could really be affected is by China. China supplies N. Korea with just about everything. I was flipping through the channels and came accross the U.N. meeting. N. Korea basically said the U.N. was a joke (can't really argue there) and then stormed out. It seems though just about every country is telling N. Korea to completely abandon thier nuke program.

We'll see what happen after the elections. I think the Republicans may suffer some big losses.

Yeah, I think with all the negative attention that Bush has gotten over the past couple of years, there is no way the republicans have a chance. If you really think about it though, what could we have done different. If we wouldn't have went into Iraq, where would we be now? Would Iraq be nuclear? I guess there is really no way of knowing, but I kinda feel sorry for the next President. He will have his hands full that is for sure...

That would be the quickest and most effective. I agree, the hell with the talking, give them 1 warning. If they don't listen, wipe them out. You know that will never happen though.

Whatever the people in power better do, is not to appear to be afraid of using the necessary actions to take care of the problem. If that little runt starts something we'd better finish it.

I would not ever think of nuking the hell out of N. Korea. Killing innocent lives? Doesn't seem too American or Canadian for that matter to me. Why destroy millions of the human race to kill two people. Whatever happens, I can't see America in this fight. American troops are too spread out and America is in debt by the billions(trillions?). Lets send in some snipers and take out Kim Jong Wing Wang and his son before they cause any more trouble.
    Rest in peace Rex Carlson

Innocent people always die in a war. You are right America will probably not do that. Who knows on Canada. I doubt Canada will do anything unless it is a direct threat to them. We have the technology to fire missles and hit key targets without disrupting much civilian life. We did it when we first moved into Iraq and bombed those bunkers. Problem is, that basically gives him more time. If we move in to N. Korea like we did Iraq, we need to hit him and his key players first. Not let them run and we chase like we did Sadam...

Gah! I was avoiding posting in this thread because I knew I was going to piss people off. The uninformed and weak-kneed among us makes my gut churn. For those who have any illusions about how this planet is, or should be, a fair and just place... well, get over it. It is a place where the weak and slow get eaten alive. The stupid die, incredulous.

TimSr summed it up, perfectly. I spent a year at Camp Bonifas/DMZ. Guess why? Because they HAVE attacked South Korea. They have PROVEN that they are capable of attacking without provocation.

For those of you who think 'BUSH' invaded Iraq because of WMD, you need to be educated a bit more. It was a UN invasion, because of Saddam refusing to comply with UN resolutions he had agreed to. We KNOW he had WMD because he murdered his own citizens with chemical weapons. We have since found hundreds of chemical rounds in Iraq. How many WMDs does it take to qualify as WMD? Get over your 'BUSH' hate and start thinking coherently.

Here is the big secret that Bush can't say out loud. He bullied the UN into enforcing the resolutions after 10 YEARS of delays and corruption. He did it, because we needed a front for the war on terror. The threat of a Democracy in the middle of the Middle East is bringing terrorists from all over, and keeping them from continuing their attack on American soil. Brilliant strategy, but he can't say it out loud. I wish there was a country called Al Quaedia for us to do this thing, but there isn't.

If you want to advocate for our enemies while our citizens are murdered around the globe, then that is your right. You have that Right because better men than you secured and protect that Right. Your hate-based whining makes America look divided and weak in the face of our enemies, and INVITES attack. You aren't winning points with our enemies by bad-mouthing your country. The best you will get from them is slavery, or if you are lucky, maybe they will kill you last. If you don't want to help preserve American freedoms, then have the good graces to stay out of the way and keep your ignorant comments to yourself. You are making the fight harder for those who are willing to put their lives on the line and are collaborating with our enemies, whether you realize it or not.

I like being calm and friendly, but I can't abide snide idiotic remarks from uninformed leftist parrots while our troops are in combat. You might think repeating what you heard someone else say is cool, but if they are an idiot, then you are an idiot, too. Get the facts. Think for yourself.

Back on topic, DPRK is consistent only in deception and being unpredictable. Kim Jong Il is capable of anything, but is unlikely to do anything that will endanger his power. If it looks like DPRK is about to collapse, he will attack someone. He won't go down without committing his vast military. If he can lob a nuke on his way out, bet on it. China is the only nation with any diplomatic leverage, but they are worried that a collapse of the DPRK will flood them with millions of refugees, so they will continue propping up Jong Il. It is a bad situation that will not be resolved peacefully. Part of the axis of evil, indeed.

I don't think you will piss anyone here off about this subject. I had that concern when I started this thread.
