    Ytm 200 sticky front brakes?

When I pull the lever in for my front brakes, the lever does not return fully after I depress the leaver... this leaves the brakes on. The previous owner installed brand new pads. The cable is fine... the lever is fine. Could the return spring be stuffed, or could the brakes be installed the wrong way??

    Cheers .

I would check the springs and grease the cam that opens the shoes.

I think so but I have not ordered one so I can't be sure. A lot of times the cam gets gummed up. I would take the brake apart and clean everything then apply a little grease to the cam before you put it back in the housing. I also put a little grease where the ends of the shoes rid on the cam. Just be careful not to get any grease on the shoes or drum (obvious but I had to say it). Also inspect and oil the cable, a dry or rusted cable can cause problems.
