    My new atc 250sx

    Well, here it is. I did it agian. I brought this 1985 atc 250sx home last Thursday. It is in great condition and runs like new. I am the third owner of this bike. The first owner had it garaged , second owner had it outside . I have it stashed back inside . I'm sorry about the quality of the PICS, but these are from the old digi camera. One of the reasons I bought a new one.

    Nice SX !!!!!.. welcome to the club !

    I like the look of the SX without the racks.. but they save your plastics in the event of a .. uhh... mmmm.... flip !
    Currently :

    82 ATC - 200, plain jane, almost mint. ( Sold, 03-17-2005)
    84 ATC - 200 ES, Jimmy-Rigged, don't ask.( Sold, 03-17-2005)
    85 ATC - 250 SX, Pride and Joy, Bottom-Less Money Pit.
    84 125 M - The Mini-SX not running yet. but won't be long.

    I'll be using it for some trail riding, and some utility work around my new place. I still have my Big Red, but have not had much good luck with the engine. Once I get that up and running I will use the SX as an all play machine and a backup for the Red's chores. The last engine I got for the Red was supposed to be a bolt in and go, but I got it home and started to do the prep work. I noticed a funny noise when I turned it over, so I pulled the side cover off, and parts fell off into my hand. Turned out that the crankshaft was broken off. I'm back at the starting point. I do not have a shop to do this work in (yet). I keep my collection at the parents place, but with no working room. I have planned to get the red up and going again, all it needs is a complete, good bottom end. I don't really want to risk getting another bad motor as this has happened to me twice now. However it would be great to get a good one. It would save me some time and work.
