250R clutch compared to the 4 stroke models???'s

Are the 250r's clutch springs really that much stiffer than the 4 stroke models??? I thought it might have been the clutch cable. Turned out it wasn't... I also repaced the clutch perch and lever...Still stout compared to the 350x and 200x I have...Any thoughts??? Are they that way stock or have the factory clutch springs been replaced???

I dont know about a 350x but the R is most definitely stiffer then the 200x, probably twice as much. It has to be though or the extra hp would just make it slip without enough tension to hold it tight. A few companies make "ez pull" clutch perchs and levers that work by changing the ratio the cable is pulled at (The lever moves more and pulls the cable less pretty much). You could also go hydraulic if you want to spend the $$$.

1 250R trick I learned years ago is to flatten the arm out where it comes out of the case. It makes the 'lever' longer and makes the pull easier due to it supplying more leverage.

Or for the low, low price of $200.00 dollars you can get a hydrolic clutch...
