Cool, thanks. And my 200x rear shock is super bouncy, its like I'm riding on the spring only. So I'll have to drill on my swing arm to use it? I don't really like that. Why does it have to be drilled? What is different about it? Also the 300ex shock doesn't have the resi but the 200x does, that's kinda messed up and kinda sucks. But you can a 300ex rear shock for like $30 shipped so that's nice.
And I know the shock isn't meant for it but I really can't see ride and handling being affect much more than if you had a 250 guy on a bike then put a 150 guy on the same bike, if that makes sense.

You have to drill it because the end of the 200x shock is longer and the hole is back farther. The 300 shock coil on the bottom hits the swingarm bracket if you dont drill it do that it lifts it up a tiny bit. Ill take a pic in a bit.

That makes sense. Thanks for all your help and I look forward to the pics. I take it you have a 300ex shock on your 86? Does it ride ok?

I bet a 250EX shock would work! It looks a bit longer like the stock shock. What do you guys think about that? I actually bought a whole other 86 200x (see new thread) so I don't need one right now but it would still be nice to know and hopefully help someone else out if it will work.
