    200x pinging sound???

I've noticed that if my threewheeler (86 honda 200x) has a ting sound if you stand beside or infront of it while its running... but when you get past about 1/3 throttle, you can't hear it.... any ideas???? it does have a performance cam but i don't know about anything else.. just bought it....

and is their any way to see what kind-o-piston is in it without pullin the top end off... ????

    thanks

I would say either valve adjustment or cam chain loose. As for the piston any good shop should have a tool to look in the cylinder threw the plug hole. (I cant remeber what the tool is called) but they are pretty cool.

It sounds like you need to adjust your valves. My X was doing that a little bit when it was cold. clearance should be .002-.004
