How to tell the diff lt230 or lt250 ???

I have one that has no visible marking and the only thing legible on the frame sticker is date of manuf. 7/90.

I'm not much into quads, but as I recall, the LT230 quadsport was a 4-stroke, and the LT250 quadracer was a 2-stroke. So, what type of engine does yours have?

    depends...

well are you talking the lt230 quadsport, as opposed to the lt250"r" quadracer? suzuki did juice the quadsports motor up to a 250 in the mid to late 90's i think, not sure on that though so dont quote me. however easiest way to tell...if you have a early model quadsport wether the 230 or 250, it will be a 4 stroke, aircooled, if you have the quad racer, its a 2 stroke, liquid cooled. also the tag should say, lt230s for quadsport, lt250r for quadracer. suzuki's sportquads are all quadsports now a days, with the exception of the ltr450. just different sizes, 80, 250, 400.

Post up some pics... someone round here can tell you what it is. They have so many diffrent models of the lt 230 quadrunner,, quadsport,, its mind boggling. they also made a lt250 quadsport. they were blue and white I believe.

I have an 87 lt230E quadrunner. Electric start, reverse, and an auto. here's a pic.

89-90 was when the lt250s quadsport was made.

the cylinder should say how many cc's it has.

also the 10th digit in the frame number is a letter and corresponds to a year. post the 10th digit.

They also made LT250 Quadrunners, which had no rear suspension. That makes the possible list of stuff:

    -LT230 Shaft
    -LT230S Quadsport
    -LT250S Quadsport
    -LT250 Quadrunner
