Problem is now you have to make reservations for sure, I mean everybody who wants to ride has to. If there ain't no room they will tell you simply to go home, no more parking under the wires by the camp ground. I'm on the "boycott'n" attitude with them bastards!

yea I know it does suck because there ain't no where to ride. I did find a nice big area by my house I was going to go check out shortly. Crooms, idk I haven't been there in years and don't know if there regulations are any better. I always had a good time at the forest it's just now they are taking things WAY out of proportion

there are 2 day parking lots by scrub.one by where the pavement ends by 19 and one 1 mile down the power line from big scrub campground.I hate the rules as much as the next guy,but this is still great riding.scrub is still wide open, you can go anyplace you want south of 40 and west of 19.still over 80,000 acres of unpoliced riding.forestry only bothers you by the staging areas, powerline and campground.the volunters are full of misinformation,If they try to ticket you call forestry.they will come and enforce only the rules in effect now.so until july you can still run paddles, ride double and dont have to worry about sound check.I ride almost weekend and wont let these undertrained idiots ruin my time.every time out I find new and better trails.I am camping dec26-31 and plan to have a great time.If anything the rules have kept the crowds down. Its nice having the whole place to yourself.stay off the main roads(573,gasline,588)and you can still tear the #roads way back in.It still is one of the best places to ride in fla.The end is near ,but I say get it why you can.

Man, I dunno. I haven't ever been to Croom...but I heard they have hills. There arent any legal hills in the ONF anymore. I'd be a lot more interested in checking out a place with some elevation change.

You guys are better off going to ONF than Croom. Croom is so small compared to ONF and you would have to drive further. Curtis knows where to go.

yea croom is overrated not only that it is WAY packed full of people so yea you can't enjoy the riding much. If Curtis knows some spots that are AWAY from them darn rangers then we should be fine. I'd still have to register the bikes to get stickers

Im bringing this ride thread back from the DEAD..... after all the horror stories about ocala and the new rules and the bad trails. Curtis changed that around with a positive repsonse.
Ive always liked ocala I still thinks it offers more in a way of riding then the places up here except maybe Durhamtown.
The Ga boys will only have to have some proof of ownership of their machines to ride, while the Fl boys know what they need
when We going again?
sometime in the spring? when are all the kids spring vacations? My daughter still talks about the BEAR! LOL!
now back from the dead one of the BIGGEST ride threads EVER!
