mine does but the neutral light won't go on. it goes on when i turn the headlight on but all the lights are really dim. there might be something wrong with mine tho, thats why it in the shop right now.

Running with out a batt. seams to kill the alternator over time.

you can burn out the stator doing that, better not do it much or you going to suffer more than a dead battery
