    Chain Problems

I have stock gearing on my 200x and a new set of 18" holeshots. I keep breaking the masterlink on my chain. I used to have 20 inch tires on it and this never happened. I love the bottom end that I'm getting out of these 18's, but is that whats causing my chain to break? Thanks

What are you using for a chain or more importantly sprockets?

It's stock gearing 13 tooth in the front and 38 in the back I believe...I don't really want to change my gearing since I'm happy with what it is at now... But if I have to then so be it.

How tight is your chain when you are on the bike? You the different tires might be throwing it off being as it has suspension, when you sit on it, the swinger might move to different heights with the new smaller tires compaired to the old, If so, adjust your chain, and if its still to tight, get ahold of some half links. I had similar problems on my 350X, well thats just my .02

Edit: oh and by snapping I take it you mean breaking in two (just checking), are your sprockets bolted down nice and tight? One time a cracked my rear sprocket, so it wobbled and I didnt notice until it kept on poping the clips off master link and bent one really badly.

I'm almost posotive all of those are tight.... I know the front sprocket has some play, and I was told that this was normal, but how much play is it supposed to have back and forth. My chain has about and inch of play with me sitting on it. Half inch up, and half inch down. Thanks for the help sofar.
