Are 3 wheelers illegal in Canada?

they are definetly not illegal to own or ride or resell, but they are to drive on roads , all my friends get pulled over and fined for driving 4 wheelers or 3 wheelers on roads... Kintore are you aloud in ontario to drive on side of road if you have it lisenced and registered? I heard you are if you have your g1 , and your trike or quad is lisenced and registered...

They dont like it, it goes all by your countys. I know people is some countys they passed a by law saying it was ok.

My buddy got pulled over with insurance, license, plates, blah blah and got 125 dollar ticket. Be nice to the Po Po's, theyll treat ya right. Or so ya hope!

Never were illegal to make, sell, or own. The big three signed a piece of paper saying they wouldnt make/sell anymore for ten years. Was never a law passed or anything like that, just a piece of paper the big three all signed and agreed to. I got pulled over today while riding, no tag or anything like that, no ticket either. Sherrif wanted to know if I had seen a truck he was looking for. Told us to ride safe and dont make to many people call him and report us. But that is in South Mississippi, my dad said he used to beat the sherrif's ass when they were little. Around here everyone knows everyone, which can be good. Or if you dont want to be known, a bad thing.

In MB, if you have your trike registered, you can ride the shoulder of the road if you have a slow moving vehicle sign on the back and are going less than 40km/h

Trikes are just as legal as quads.

I have a 1984 Honda Big Red 200es, 1984 Honda 125M and a 1981 Honda 70, all are insured (the bare minimum insurance coverage) the costs ar $100. each and that is through State Farm Insurance. I am in Ontario and live in the Niagara Region.

For the registation if you buy it without a title or ownership, the ministry will let you get an ownership in your name with only a bill of sale and a signed affiafit that states to the best of your knowledge the machine was purchased legally. I needed to do it this way because my machine changed owners about 3 times without the ownership being transfered or it was lost along the way.

Well, they are not dangerous but they need to have an operator that would use caution when riding it due to its point of contact with the ground (three wheels as oppose to four wheels in a car) when turning. But, heck thay are more fun to ride!
