    85 200x

    I have a 200 x that i am going to rebuild the engine on.Do i need to get some kind of comp. release on it if i use a 10.25 piston in the motor???? I had to ask as i have read on here about the kick start gears in the 200x being weak? THANKS for any help you all can give....Jerry

    I ran a 12.5:1 in my '85 when I raced. No problem with the kick starter ever. You should be fine.

    you should not have any prob's my x has that piston and xr200 dirt bike cam and carb and intake with dg pipe, hey it fly's

    Thanks everone....i am glad to know that i can run that piston,i still have more stuff to buy and maybe by next spring i can have it ready.with that said i am sure i will have more questions to ask,so THANKS AGAIN...Jerry
