i dont think rejetting the carb is going to give any more low end power .... the only way it would help is if it needed to be rejetted due to not running right or something like that chances are if you put a pipe and pod filter on there then it def is running lean now and you will have to go up a couple sizes up on the main jet to compensate for that do a plug check and see if it is running lean or not. a golden brown plug is what you want to have...if it is white then it is running lean and you will need to rejet or you will melt your top end....... if the pipe you put on it only makes power in the high rpm range then thats ware you lost your low end... different pipes makes power in different places..2 strokes react to a pipe change alot more then a 4 stroke...if your trike is chain drive you could look into maybe a gear change... go up a couple teath on the rear sprocket.... you will looz top end speed but you will gain more take off power big time... your only going to get so much power out of a 60...

When I modded my boys zinger I also put some commet go-cart clutch springs Into the Yamaha syntrifical clutch. That stalls the clutch engagment so the loss of low end does'nt really matter. It launches pretty hard, but not ridiculous. You can buy jets from your Yamaha dealer, just bring the old main jet with ya so you can compare the two. Or you can do like I did & use small number drills & drill the main a little at a time with some extra stock jets. I never had to mess with the pilot jet at all, I tuned mine with the needle & main jet. One more thing, a 76-79 Yamaha SRX snowmobile has 2 main jets. One of the jets Is a power jet, this jet threads Into the bowl on the sled carb not Into the carb body like usual. The power jet from the SRX Is the same as the zinger's Main jet. I took the air box off mine & put a clamp on filter on. That made a huge difference also. I also did away with the oil Injection set-up & mix my gas In the tank. Here's one more secret. Once you disable the oil Injection, you can unhook the extra Injector cable under the gas tank along the frame rail. That makes the throttle push much easier & gives you much better feeling power because the throttle response Is much quicker due to the easy movment. Them little zinger's are fun to mod, with a light kid on Em they friggin rip

I took mine off because I don't trust them. I'm not saying you should. If It works & you don't want to mix your gas then leave It alone. I always have mixed gas laying around so I always put mixed gas In the zinger along with the oil Injection. Then one day decided to just take the oil tank off.
