probably not . you could probably run pancake surup in there and it would work ,it's a honda.
it might not even call for hypoid. but the gears are hypoid cut so hypoid oil would be good.
i use a gearoil that has a GL5 rating in everything. if it says GL5 you can use it in everything from heavy duty truck rear ends to outboard motor lower units and outdrive legs. and bikes to.
