Unhappy Finally I'm (maybe) getting a trike! (or not..)

Looks like it finally happened, I found a trike, and it's of the kind I want to own!

I live in Norway, and finding trikes here is close to impossible. I have tried classifieds, forums, asked stores and everywhere one might find someone that would know about a trike for sale.

Been looking for about a year, and today it seems like I have found it.

    It's a 86 Yamaha Tri-Z (well, the ad says 1986 Yamaha 250ccm 3wheeler, but from what I can see it's a Tri-Z).

Not my first choice, but since it's probably my only choice there's not really anything to think about!
Have not had the chance to contact the seller yet (it's midnight here now), but I will tomorrow. If everything goes well, I'll be able to pick it up Saturday.

The price is $2300, a bit much compared to what you guys probably would have to pay, but here it's (in my opinion) a really good price.

    And now, pictures!

Holy Cow! $2300!!!!! But I understand the hole limited number thing. Price will be like that with nothing around, still think thats a bit high though.

And from what I can tell, its an 85. Whats with the fenders though, in one pic it has yellow shrouds and fender, in the other it has white?

Good luck, any way you look at it, you'll have fun!

The price is a little hard to swallow. I have considered buying one in the US and getting it shipped here, but it would be way to much work, and would take months before I'd get it. So given the circumstances I'll consider it an okay deal.

Didn't notice the different colors on the fender, I'll ask the guy selling it tomorrow. I'll also try to talk the price down a bit, but doubt it will help..

And yes, I'll have a LOT of fun with it, feeling like a kid on Christmas eve right now!

Looks sweet man. Just look it over real good and take your time. You might find something that you can get him to drop the price.
    Good Luck.

In your situation of availibility, it might be worth it to take a hit in price. Thats how I look at it, if you overpay on the bike, a little down the road it wont matter (as long as it dosent fall apart).

Never thought about that, might be a good idea. I'll look into getting it shipped over here tomorrow, might save me some cash. And I think I found the one you mentioned, looks really nice!

And remember, that $2300 is in Euros if I assumed correct, so that makes it close to $3000 US!!!!!!
