Update 2/9/2010: Pics are broke! Use this link. http://sites.google.com/site/dammit2...%22eldiablo%22
I've been kinda keeping this thing under wraps until I at least got the overall look done. Still needs some paint and powdercoat here and there but I'm LOVING the look of it. Just like I pictured in my head. Can't wait to get out and rip up some dunes this weekend!
The billet pieces with the Pentagrams engraved were provided by Speedbump right here on the boards.
The ridiculously badass custom seat and matching fork boot covers were done by our own Mrs. Moshman and Moshman355 from www.cosmicquads.com and needless to say, they do excellent work. The seat was a complicated one. Two tone flame job, stenciled ATC and Honda logos, embroidered "El Diablo" on the back and the foam is actually carved from a Banshee seat foam so it's quite a bit softer than a typical 250R seat. A big thanks to both the Mosh's for putting up with me on this one.![]()
The custom decals are exactly like OEM except the colors have been altered to match the bike. The blue was replaced with red on the wing. The blue on the 250R was changed to a dark gray that fades down to solid black. The last section of the R is solid black.
A little background on the machine. I've owned it since the late 80's. Got it from the original owner in near pristine condition. Motor was built by PR Racing in Toledo, Ohio (and ask anyone who has ridden it, the thing rips). In the past year I've added the FMF pipe (soon to be replaced by a Paul Turner High Rev that's hanging in the garage), a 38mm PWK carb, Rad Valve and lots of little things I can't remember. The cosmetic stuff speaks for itself so I won't go into that.
Anyway, on with the pics! And yes I'm aware the gold swingarm has to go. It's on the list.![]()
