I put about 500mils in an oil started to driblle out of the check oil screw.
I put the screw in and ended up putting about 750mils in,

    does this sound about right?

nope, take the check screw back out n let it leak till it don't leek anymore, put the screw back in and runer for a bit then check it again.....you must of had some oil left in her, the Capacity is what it takes when the engine has been stripped down, just a change only drains like 90% or something like that

ok thanks for that. I did the oil change on level ground, but may there was still a few hundred mils in there.
